Oogum Boogum Song-Brenton Wood

That's a horrifying notion.

A little full of ourselves aren't we? I just remember that song from it's extremely overplayed period, and it's not something I want to relive.
I think Ozma could pull off a very cool sounding version of The Carpenters' Yesterday Once More... but they've already done Superstar so I guess I should think of another band.
I could see Ryen and Dan pullin off good vocals in The Beatles' "Hey Bulldog"

good call. That or "Here Comes the Sun"....cool keyboard line in that song. If they want to pull off something super special they could do "A Day in the Life" oh snap!

Hey I think they could pull it off. It would be funny and sound cool.
hahaha, it would funny if ryen sang the "woke up fell out of bed, DRAGGED A COMB ACROSS MY HEAD" part
I see the joke, but anyway I always pictured Daniel being Pauls voice and Ryen being John.
maybe its the dan/paul=bass, ryen/john=guitar
No its the voice.
crimson and clover - tommy and the shondells.
lovely.
"eye in the sky" by alan parsons project.
They've cited ELO as being an influence before. I'd love to see them cover an ELO song. Maybe even one of the crazier ones like "Yours Truly, 2095". In fact, I can already hear it in my head. Dan singing lead. Maybe trading off with Ryen.
Dan: "I sent a message to another time, but as the days unwind, this I just can't believe."
Ryen: "I sent a note across another plain, maybe it's all a game, but this I just can't concieve."
Etcetera. Of course they wouldn't be singing in falsetto, which would make it cooler. Man, I can totally hear an Ozma-ized version of this in my head.

I see where you're coming from.
Dan does have the more harmonized voice like Paul, and Ryen has the more gritty tone kinda like John.
I'd like to hear them do 'Major Tom'.

Are you referring to David Bowie's "Space Oddity"? Or is there some other song called "Major Tom"?

This has nothing to do with any of this, but the mention of this song brings back a horrific memory. Some friends of mine were playing a few songs at a small dance and the guitar player got the notion that at the last moment he could learn this song in about 5 minutes and all of a sudden they could perform it. So we go out to someone's car and my friend has his guitar and starts to "learn the song". Problem is he's the most unstudied, most tone deaf guitar player to ever pick up a six string. By the end he's all like "Sweet, I think that's pretty much it". He did not have one single solitary note or chord correct. No one had the heart to tell them. They go back inside and play the song, kind of. There's no way in hell you could ever even remotely know what song they were doing. It wass an utter embarassment. I'm so glad I was not involved in any of it. Sometimes I bring it up to other people that were involved in this fiasco and we have a good laugh.
Rusholme Ruffians by the Smiths...everyone should cover that one, but Ozma would kick ass doing it.
I think they would do cool covers of:
"Shady Lane" - Pavement
"Truest Love" - Superdrag (Ozma should do this song acoustic
"The Concept" - Teenage FanClub ( I can hear Ryen and Dan harmonizing on this song so nicely...)
"Tell Me, Sad" and "Silent Spring" - Bettie Serveert ( I see Star singing lead on these!
Ed
I would have loved to have seen them way back when they covered Pinkerton. Correct me if I'm wrong but did they not cover the whole album at some Weezer Fanclub thing back in 96 or something?
