I got this message on Facebook today
QuoteUSC Program Board is bringing you Mos Def in concert at McCarthy Quad along with the poetic sounds of Saul Williams and bands including:
Ozma,
The Pink Spiders,
Open Hand,
Goldspot,
Vagenius,
Phoenix & The Turtle,
Malbec,
Autonym,
Henna tattoo artists, pro skaters fire dancers and much more!
It's on April 15th.Ã, Says the "festivities" start at noon, and continue until 10pm.Ã, A flyer I saw on campus had Ozma listed second, so I'm sure the concert won't happen until that night, but yeah.Ã, Come enjoy the beautiful campus of the finest university in the land, home of 12 National Championships, 7 Heisman trophies and a myriad of other awards and accolades.
Ozma's pretty good too.
HENNA TATTOOS?!?!
fuck ya
Yeah Springfest is some sort of annual deal in (what else?) the spring. I've never actually gone though. It was cancelled four years ago, and the bands have not been enough to make me go the other two years. So unless there are other SC people on here, I don't really know what the hell to expect.
I'm planning to go, since most of my friends go to USC anyway.
Ozma is playing second, or second to last?
Also, do we need tickets or wristbands or anything? Is it usually crowded?
They were listed second, so I would assume that means second to last. I am not aware of any tickets or wristbands needed. The stage is usually set up in a big quad area, it's all open. Like I said, I've never been to Springfest, but when we do have concerts on campus, it can get kinda crowded. I mean, not like stadium sized crowds, but if you really wanna get up close, get there early.
nice. i'm excited

Spending Time
No One Needs to Know
New Song (I think they said it was called Straight Flush)
Wake Up

Good show. Kenn's a good drummer, it's fun to watch him play. I think I was too far in the back at the reunion show to really notice him.
that was fast. they played a little of "tribute to troy" (usc fight song) before domino effect. the 1st new song was about flying too close to the sun or something like that...
i love how they proclaimed their bruin pride. huge balls.

Yep, it was great! I drove down from Berkeley to see them. What's great is that after their show, they hung around in the back and talked to fans :)
