It's actually a decentish review, though I think they were a bit harsh on Spending Time, heh.
Can one really say that Spending Time is more "new wave revival" than this album?

I can't imagine considering Ozma to be part of the "new wave revival" movement. I disliked Spending Time (as an album, as a whole), but I didn't consider it to be a huge departure from the traditional sound, and even if I did, hindsight has cleared me of that notion. Spending Time was produced by an idiot, but I don't think it even sounds like they were even sort of halfway thinking about appealing to (at the time) current trends with that album. I'd say this is the album full of more notable departures from the classic sound. I'm not saying that's good or bad, but I think it's kind of hard to call this a return to their roots. I do think the review is otherwise pretty good though. I never ever ever read a review of anything ever that doesn't at least sort of annoy me, but this was alright.
I don't understand why they trashed STOTB and then talked about putting Eponine on the album like it was something great. And I know that Rachel Haden is famous and all, but they didn't mention that Star does most of the female vocals on HvH. But aside from that, nice that they got a good review.
Its mostly great they gave it a 4.5.
I thought it was funny they mentioned New Pornos when I have said like 85 times hvh sounds like np. I was accused to ghost writing it, haha.

Do you know what the NP sound like, because I would say they sound fairly similar. Enough that at least 2 of us agree.
It's a huge compliment though, since I think the NP are one of the best groups making music right now.
