I know the name generally does, but I'm referring to Mr. Galvez in particular. I've never seen it printed with an accent before.

Just because he doesn't use the accent mark does not mean that it doesn't have one. For the most part, one has to go out of the way to use a letter with an accent mark, so I find it highly probable that even Jose himself doesn't use it.
Also, I don't see a reason why this is being argued. Samantha knows Jose and wouldn't claim that his name is spelt with an accent simply for the Hell of it. Sheesh.
i say it looked weird because the 4 albums dont use it. thats all.
