Because I've been getting reports of people who either wanted to change their mind, or people who failed to vote, so I'll cast this one more time.

1 day, this time.

VOTE!

P.S. Oh and you'll have the option to change your vote

straight flush would of worked GREAT had it been MELLLLLOOOOOOWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW. i mean jeez, did we need the screaming n' the metal guitars? i think that killed the song for me. sorry.
Ryen Slegr and Daniel Brummel could eat a can of Alphabet Soup and poopoo out better lyrics than Rivers Cuomo

I save my best for last and after that don't even ask me - Beck

icecreamman

These are some of my favorite songs on the album  :'(

Yeah I wish it hadnt'a come down to these two this early, but whatev..I did what I thought was best, and voted accordingly.

Reminds me a tad bit of the 2000 election, ha.

Well, think about it this way..the people that were voting for other songs that they hated more, are now voting for one of these, which changes the dynamics, muchly.

I don't understand this tie-breaker. But all in good fun anyway.

That's what makes it for me actually. The dynamic contrast between the earlier, more constrained and mellow sections, and the later bits.
Unterreiner is tall and surprisingly thin, given that the floor of his closet is stacked high with junk food. Boxes and bags of Doritos, Twinkies and Ho-Hos spill out onto the floor. He has towels around his window to keep out the cold air at night. "I hate this old house," he said bitterly, then changed the name of an unfinished track to "Cold Day."

I agree completely. In fact, when I first Straight Flush, back when it was only considered a demo, I thought the song was too mellow and actually didn't listen to it in its entirety. However, when I finished listening to the entire song, I realized how good it was.

i mean, it was a great demo, and i was looking forward to it on the album. i just wonder at one point in the studio did they just go "man we need to just SCREAM and crank the gee-tars WAY UP!" so frustrating to see something that was once great get turned into........that.

Actually, the album version is the demo version with backing vocal overdubs. The differences are probably in your head...

Don't forget Battlescars generally relies on screaming and metal guitars.

I think that the screaming, if you will, in Battlescars, Straight Flush, Natalie Portman (WHAT CAN I DO?!?), etc. simply add the emotions brought forth in these songs. Ozma doesn't belt out every single lyric, just the occasional ones for emphasis. I personally don't consider the guitars to be metal. To me, metal music doesn't have any soul to it, something that Ozma's playing is full of.
